STV Dallas/Austin is seeking an immediate hire for the SUE Group.
You can be based out of our Ellis County or Round Rock office.

Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) CAD Technician

Responsibilities:

Performs drafting in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.

Plot utilities and topographic mapping.

Perform office survey activities in accordance with Minimum Standards of Practice for Surveying

Perform utility records research.

Performs office computations necessary for the completion of task assignments including QA/QC.

Prepares finished deliverables including: SUE QL A deliverables, SUE QL B, C, and D level mapping, topographic mapping, and other survey reports.

Communicates the daily progress of the crew towards the project goals and/or accomplishments with the office staff.

PositionRequirements:

Proficiency inAutoCAD Civil 3D,

Knowledge of MicroStation a plus.

Proficiency in Google Earth and Microsoft Office Suite(Word/Excel/PowerPoint).

Knowledge of utilities.

2+ years of CAD experience preferred.

Field experience preferred.

Be able to go to the field and visit job sites as needed.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Ability to pass background check for employment.

Interest inadvancingSubsurface Utilityknowledgethrough hands-on experienceand mentoring.

Ability to quickly acquire skills and learn new techniques.

Ability to think creatively, keep an open mind, and take constructive criticism.

Good communication and leadership skills.
