Job Description

SUMMARY

The Retail Operations Support role will be responsible for mentoring the Community Bank Retail staff on operational excellence as it relates to new account deposit operations and teller operations. The primary focus will be to perform Retail Community Bank audits ensuring operational processes and procedures are being upheld and giving on-going support to each retail team.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Mentor, support, and ensure sound understanding and implementation of operational processes and procedures within Community Bank Retail areas to ensure consistency throughout the First United Bank organization.
  • Perform Community Bank Retail Audits across the organization adhering to timeliness in audit delivery.
  • Manage and execute assigned retail operations projects with time proficiency and ownership.
  • Responsible for planning, organizing, leading, and coordinating various operational training with support staff and community retail bank staff. This includes specialized training/mentoring per Community Retail Bank based on needs assessed.
  • Assists Financial Center Managers and Senior Relationship Managers to ensure consistent practices throughout the organization on bank policies and procedures including federal banking laws and regulations.
  • Assists bank leadership with acquisitions of newly acquired banks for deposit operations support. Responsible for providing ongoing assistance and support to the operation's staff of newly acquired bank to ensure compliance with First United Bank policies and procedures.
  • Support the operation's support staff and outside vendors/partners with the opening of new Community Banks to ensure organized openings with Community Bank Retail staff, deposit operation's staff, and compliance with policy and procedures.
  • Responsible for reviewing monthly operational reporting for mentoring, learning, and developing for Financial Center Managers and Senior Relationship Bankers.
  • Monitors internal operational procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in the new account and teller areas of the banks.
  • Provides ongoing education and communication through monthly Retail meetings, e-mails, or via telephone/virtual meetings with operational/retail employees throughout the First United Bank organization.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESONSIBILITIES

  • Performs any other duties as requested.
  • Completes all required compliance exams on a yearly basis.
  • Adherence to all First United Policies and Procedures.
  • Dresses professionally.
  • Displays and maintains a positive attitude toward bank, employees, and policy and procedures.
  • Promotes teamwork and cohesiveness.
  • Acknowledges and recognizes others' contribution.
  • Travel required (Oklahoma and Texas).

Education and Work Experience

  • College Degree preferred.
  • Exhibit "hands on" bank operations experience with a strong leadership background in banking.
  • Working knowledge of all deposit operational functions, banking regulations and display the ability to introduce and implement effective change.
  • Minimum of 3 or more years in Banking industry with preference in banking areas of: Retail, Compliance, Auditing or Deposit Operations.

Technical/Functional Competencies

  • Proficient with core banking application software, new account processing, SharePoint, Power Bi, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Display knowledge of standard banking equipment and personal computer.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills displaying the ability to communicate clearly and informatively in a positive manner, portraying respect and professionalism.
  • Demonstrate exceptional analytical skills, reasoning ability, and sound decision-making abilities.
  • Must possess a high level of mentorship ability and interpersonal skills with a strong commitment to a team environment.
  • Demonstrates effectiveness in managing operational requirements and procedures.
