ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Keeping equipment fueled and cleaned at all times
- Reporting any and all accidents immediately
- Reporting any deficiencies with the equipment
- Unloading trucks in a safe and efficient manner
- Pulling parts and distributing to the appropriate area
- Loading materials into vehicles and installing strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools
- Other tasks or duties as may be assigned by supervisor
- Greeting all inbound/outbound drivers for all freight delivery and pickups
- Unloading and loading according to company procedures
- Visually inspecting all incoming freight before unloading, noting obvious damage or exceptions on the driver's delivery receipt, utilizing the driver as a witness
- Comparing inbound pack list and delivery receipt to delivered freight and match to company purchase order
- Noting concealed damage or counting variances in the Purchase Order and packing list
- Notifying supervisor immediately of any exceptions and securing supervisor's signature (per supervisor's inspection) on the Purchase Order
- Informing the Purchasing Agent named on the Purchase order of all exceptions
- Utilizing material handling equipment to unload/load all trucks in a safe and efficient manner
- Supporting the manufacturing process with safe material handling
- Maintaining the receiving dock, outdoor storage and warehouse storage area to utilize space, ensure inventory accuracy and keep areas safe and clear
- Perform other duties as assigned.
