Job Description

Managing Preventative Maintenance Programs:

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate corrective and preventive maintenance.
  • Continuously upgrade PMs and ensure PM program compliance.
  • Assist with parts and services procurement for repairs.
  • Maintain complete and current CMMS software data files.
  • Analyze and review maintenance problems, coordinating resources.
  • Develop weekly schedules and prioritize jobs.

Planning Major Equipment Outage Schedules:

  • Utilize MS Project for outage planning.
  • Estimate costs for major jobs and track actual spending.
  • Develop 1-year and 3-year major equipment outage plans.

Identifying, Analyzing, and Reviewing Maintenance Problems:

  • Submit backlog lists with priorities to Production Supervisor.
  • Coordinate manpower, parts, materials, and equipment availability.
  • Maintain job materials in staging areas.
  • Perform RCFA based on trigger criteria.
  • Assist in assessing plant equipment for budgeting.

Reporting:

  • Maintain records, charts, and indexes.
  • Post daily, weekly, and monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and trends.
  • Report on performance versus goals.
  • Close out work orders daily and input actual hours.

Attributes (Essential Knowledge/Skills/Abilities):

  • Knowledge of maintenance labor/equipment data management and CMMS systems.
  • Formal training in maintenance planning and scheduling.
  • Strong organization, time management, communication, and people skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Access; SAP and MS Project experience is a plus.
  • Previous maintenance supervisory experience is beneficial.
  • Required experience: 3-5 years in heavy industrial maintenance or a similar role.
  • Required education: Some advanced training or college coursework related to an accredited degree
